“Semi” Serviced Offices – Not Quite Executive Office Suites

Creative Workspace Lynnwood and Renton – “Semi” Serviced Office Space

The Creative Workspace marketing team spends a lot of time thinking about how best to grow the communities of small business office suites and workspaces in Lynnwood and the Renton Highlands.

YouTube Preview Image

Crucial to this effort is clarifying just exactly how to describe the Creative Workspace product to the public in a way that allows it to be found on the web by anyone looking for flexible office or workspace.

CW_Uses

When creative people and entrepreneurs are looking for Professional Office Space or Climate Controlled Storage in the Greater Seattle Area that is particularly well suited to start up or growing businesses; these are the choices they are typically presented with:

The Home Office – Although a great choice for some, generally not a great place to meet customers and conduct business on a professional level

Virtual Office – This type of “office” usually provides a mailbox address, a phone and answering service, a conference facility and space to meet clients. This can be a great choice for a business that needs an address but not a place to work from or set up shop.

Serviced Office or Executive Office Suites – This type of office arrangement typically offers full or partially furnished suites, conference facilities and communication services in an easy to budget format that can put a polished front on a new business. The downside is that they can be a bit pricey for anything more than a short period of time or for more than one or two people as you are paying a premium for the convenience and amenities whether you need them or not.

Commercial Office Space – Once a business gets up and running, there’s nothing that makes a statement like a first class office in a prime location. However, the costs and risks associated with signing a long term lease and doing a build out can be prohibitive for a company just getting started and it’s not a flexible situation if the needs of a company change.

Warehouse Space – Some businesses lend themselves to the starkness and barebones nature of warehouse space. For them this can prove a very cost effective way to operate. Unfortunately, the lack of amenities, the aesthetics and the location of such space can be limiting.

And then there’s this

“Semi” Serviced Offices – We had to create this category to explain Creative Workspace for Small Business. Semi Serviced is just what it sounds like. It is Office and Work spaces that are similar to what Serviced Offices offer but varied in size and function. The occupancy is based on a month to month arrangement with most basic services included. It offers easy access to amenities and extras for those who need them, but doesn’t charge those who don’t. At Creative Workspace we offer Storefronts, Storage Units, Lofts, Offices and Roll up Door Front Workspaces in convenient and business appropriate locations. The nice part about this arrangement is that the space is yours as temporary office space and can be configured and furnished pretty much how you want it.

Tattoos and Art in Renton – Kevin McPherson

Kevin McPherson Tattoo Artistry

When Kevin McPherson first approached Creative Workspace offices in Renton Highlands and inquired about opening up shop for his tattoo business, more than a few eyebrows were raised by the idea. After all, a “tattoo parlor” in the traditional sense, was the last thing this tight community of small businesses and professionals needed… Right?.

Kevin asked to meet with community manager Eleanor Mitchell before she made a final decision and as it turned out, Kevin and his Custom Tattoo Artistry studio is a great fit for Creative Workspace which at it’s core is designed to support creative people as they grow and follow their passions.

Although Tattoos and Body Piercing parlors carry the burden of some pretty heavy stereotyping, the truth is that tattoos have pretty much gone mainstream in recent times and they remain a rite of passage for many as they have for years.

Norman_Rockwell_Tattooist

Chances are just about anyone you know has one or has at least thought about getting a tattoo at some point. For many, a tattoo is a way of marking a special event or milestone on their life’s journey. Or, as depicted in the Norman Rockwell Portrait, “The Tattooist” which Kevin displays in his studio, sometimes a Tattoo can even become a living scroll or storyboard of the changes that occur in one’s life

In Kevin McPherson’s case, It’s all about the art.. Really!

Aside from his tattoo work, Kevin does a lot of painting and sketching. Some of his more conventional work is featured here, in local businesses and on his website.

Kevin’s  Custom Tattoo Artistry is just another way of expressing his creativity while paying the bills… and it allows him the flexibility to follow his other passion, spending as much time as possible as a hands on Dad.

Kevin & Wesley

Kevin’s Studio in Suite 128 is pretty low key. No neon signs or loud music. No bikers hanging around out front. Just a clean, comfortable space where Kevin can spend time on his craft with regular customers and referrals, doing what he does best. Creating Art.

A Simple and Effective Marketing Secret – Send Out Cards

This guy couldn’t have said it any better. There was a time when there was huge money to be made coming up with the latest and greatest internet marketing software or technique. Even now, plenty of people are making hay developing Apps for smart phones, iPads and tablet PC’c. But what if you don’t have that skillset? How are you going to cash in on the internet for business? What is the one way everyone can make money using the internet for commerce…

Internet marketing pioneer David Frye shares the one thing you need to know, right now, to Jump Start your Business, whatever that might be. And guess what, the biggest opportunity to make money on the internet isn’t exactly on the internet.

Listen to what David has to say. What pays these days is the creation of a distribution network which companies will pay to access. These companies will bring the Systems, Capital, Products and Distribution to the table via the internet (The Black box as he puts it) and they’re willing to pay a recurring fee or commission for access to your network.

There are all make and manner of product or service willing to pay for access to your sphere of influence and if you choose wisely, this one thing can push your business into overdrive. Look for something that has some relevance to your core business and it makes the connections all the more meaningful. David mentions Send Out Cards, a fantastic example of a product everyone can use, delivered more efficiently and at less cost than one can find it at the corner store.

We use Send Out Cards here at Creative Workspace to support our tenants in a couple of ways. We offer a convenient retail storefront where our community members can log in and choose a high quality greeting card from our catalog of thousands… personalized, stamped and shipped the same day. We also offer our tenants a wholesale option which includes a reduced cost for cards, a secure contact management system and even the ability to customize your cards with pictures or business art.

Low Cost, Turn Key, Innovative, Reliable and Useful – those are the traits you are looking to leverage.

If you’d like to know more about Building your Business through Media Integration and how to make this business model work for you, contact Jim Warner, Allpoints Marketing and Media Suite #119 Creative Workspace, Lynnwood

For more information on Creative Workspace or the Send Out Cards Marketing program, Contact Your Community Manager. That would be Lisa Benedict in Lynnwood or Eleanor Mitchell in Renton.
